Recently, the Year 8 football team at Westminster City School secured an impressive 4–0 win against King Solomon Academy in the Westminster Football League.

Director of Sport, Mr Williams-Parker, shared the following report.

“The team delivered a composed and well-organised performance, working effectively together to create a number of clear goal-scoring opportunities. Armani opened the scoring with a confident finish, before further goals from Eshan, Hakim and George extended the lead. Just as important was the defensive performance.

“The boys remained disciplined throughout, limiting chances and securing a well-earned clean sheet.

“It was a strong all-round performance. The boys worked hard for each other, showed good discipline and took their chances well. To score four goals and keep a clean sheet is a very positive outcome, and it puts us in a strong position as we move into the next phase of the league.”

The team will now look ahead to their next fixture as they continue their league campaign.
