Working with us

Westminster City School is a great place to work. Our staff have access to first class facilities and an ethos of professional development and self-improvement.

We are passionate about developing our staff throughout their career. Whether you join as an NQT, a middle leader, a member of our support staff or a member of the leadership team, your development is important to us. We are committed to ensuring that all staff have access to outstanding career development, be this in school through our in-house programmes, or via external professional training routes.

We expect our staff to deliver outstanding results and have a range of support and training programmes in place which help all to progress within the education profession.

Some of our staff benefits include

  • Interest-free season ticket loan
  • Participation in the “Cycle to Work” scheme

Location

Our central location, just minutes from Victoria train and tube station and St James's Park tube station, and served by 20 different bus routes, makes travel to work very easy. In fact, the ease of our commute means we even have teachers and pupils travelling from outside of London, including Essex and Wales!

Most of London's attractions are only a short walk away, which ensures visits and trips easy to arrange, and there’s always a huge variety of things to do and see in the capital.

Equal opportunities

We are committed to promoting equality of opportunity for all. All members of our community have the right to respect and tolerance from others and, equally, are expected to treat others with the same respect and tolerance. We encourage and enable employees and pupils to achieve their full potential in an environment which is free from all forms of unfair treatment, discrimination and harassment.

Safeguarding

We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. All successful applicants must satisfy an enhanced disclosure check with the Disclosure and Barring Service.
