Location

Based in the very heart of London, Westminster City School is just minutes from major landmarks like Buckingham Palace, the Houses of Parliament and Westminster Abbey.

Transport links to our School are excellent, ensuring a safe and smooth commute for students and staff. We are only a short walk from Victoria train and tube station (Circle, District and Victoria) and from St James's Park tube station (Circle and District). We are also served by around 20 different bus routes.

We make the most of our unique location by inviting interesting visitors to our School, from discussions and advice with business leaders at Deutsche Bank or Google to interactive workshops and opportunities with Inner Voices and Sinfonia Smith Square.

Our central London site also allows us to undertake regular visits to museums, galleries, theatres, exhibitions, lectures and other places of interest, both in London and further afield. For example, had the exciting opportunity to visit Imperial College London, currently ranked as the number one university in Europe. The visit gave students an in-depth look at studying Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) at university and the wide range of courses available at Imperial College London. During the afternoon, students engaged with academic speakers, discussed their own interests, and learned about the skills needed to succeed in STEM subjects.

Selected Year 10 students had the opportunity to take part in Southwark Schools Learning Partnership (SSLP) AI Conference, hosted in collaboration with schools from across the borough. As part of the day, they worked alongside peers from other institutions to research, prepare, and deliver a speech on the complex and timely topic of Ethics in Artificial Intelligence.
