Year 7

The admission process for Year 7 places, for entry in September 2020, ran from 1 September 2019. The deadline for applications was 31 October 2019. Applications for 2020 entry are now closed.

For further information about life within our School, please see our Westminster City School prospectus for September 2020 entry at Year 7.

Our School offers 150 places within the full range of abilities. Of that 40% are Christian places, 20% are Church of England places, 20% are other world faith places and 20% are open places.

Faith places

Our School has available a total of 60 Christian places, 30 Church of England places and 30 other world faith places for September 2020. Please do not forget to complete and name us on your online local authority common application form. Applications for September 2020 are now closed.

Open places

Our School has available 30 open places. Governors will allocate places to boys of no faith who are willing to support the clear religious, social and ethical ethos of our School.

Assessment day

All applicants must attend our assessment day. For September 2020 applicants, this will take place at 10am on Saturday 9 November 2019, at Westminster City School. You should expect your son to be here for approximately one hour and he should bring with him a pencil, rubber and ruler. All applicants will be given a short science, English and maths test.

Oversubscription criteria

If, as is customary, there are more applications than places, the admissions criteria explained in our admissions policy will determine which boys are to be offered places. The same procedures will be applied when there are applicants for casual vacancies that arise in Years 8 to 11.

Late applicants

Applications received after the published closing date will not be considered until after the initial allocation of places has taken place. They can then be considered for any surplus places that may be available or, if appropriate, placed on the waiting list.
