Timings of the School Day
Our school day is carefully structured to provide a calm, purposeful learning environment while supporting a broad and balanced curriculum. Students arrive on site from 8.30am, with KS3 line-ups beginning at 8.35am and tutor time beginning for all students at 8.40am, followed by six lesson periods across the day, alongside scheduled break and lunch times.
The school operates a two-week timetable (Week A and Week B), allowing greater flexibility for specialist subjects and longer double lessons, particularly in Key Stages 4 and 5. Most days, lessons finish at 3.10pm, with a wide range of extra-curricular activities, academic support and enrichment sessions running after school, while Tuesdays follow a compressed timetable with an earlier finish to support staff training and wellbeing. The school week totals 32.5 hours for students.

About the School day
- The school gate closes at 8.30am every day
- If a student arrives between 8.35am - 8.40am, they must enter through the school office (they are not late at this point)
- If a student arrives from 8:40am onwards, they must sign in through the school office and will be counted as late
