WCS Band Rezonance Reach Future Sounds Final
Westminster City School is pleased to celebrate the success of the school’s student band ‘Rezonance’, who have been selected as one of the final seven artists in the Future Sounds 2026 competition. The final will take place on Thursday 19 March 2026 at Bush Hall in London.
‘Future Sounds is organised by the Tri-borough Music Hub in partnership with The Rhythm Studio and provides a platform for talented young contemporary musicians aged 11–18 across Hammersmith & Fulham, Kensington & Chelsea, and Westminster. The competition also connects young performers with music industry professionals through an expert feedback panel, as well as prizes and opportunities linked to the wider music industry.’
The band’s (Rezonance) accomplishment in reaching the final highlights the creativity and dedication of Westminster City School’s student musicians, including those who continue to pursue music together with their studies even if they are not taking it at A-Level or beyond Sixth Form. The band was formed by bringing together students who demonstrated strong musical ability, in addition to the commitment and teamwork required to perform successfully as a group.
Year 13 student Hasani, a member of Rezonance, shared his excitement about the band’s success:
“I'm happy that we have made it to the final because it has been one of my long-term goals since solidifying myself as a musician. From a personal perspective, winning the competition would be a testament to my musicianship, meaning that all my hard work and passion would be recognised on a level beyond the beginner stage.”
Hasani shared that his musical journey began through family influence and interests he developed during primary school, which he has continued to pursue at Westminster City School.
After completing his studies at Westminster City School’s Sixth Form, Hasani plans to study Law at Loughborough University, while continuing to play rugby and pursue his passion for music alongside his studies.
