Year 10 Students Visit Oxford University
On Thursday 22 January, four aspirational and inquisitive 10 students from Westminster City School had the opportunity to visit Oxford University, Magdalen College. Part of the day involved a tour of Magdalen College, where students explored the historic campus, took part in a critical thinking task working together in a group, and gained knowledge about applications to competitive universities.
In the afternoon, the students visited Oriel College which allowed them to explore, engage with current university students and see how the different colleges function at Oxford. Overall, the students had an enjoyable and insightful day into life at Oxford and were able to visualise themselves as a future Oxford student.
The feedback was extremely positive where it was highlighted that these students were very well behaved, fully engaged throughout the day, and asked thoughtful questions during the sessions.
