Year 12 Internship Programme with MRM

15 May 2026

23 Year 12 students at Westminster City School's Sixth Form have begun a six-week education and internship programme with MRM, designed to give students a chance to see what careers within the financial services sector actually look like.

Now in its third year in partnership with Westminster City School, the programme gives students the opportunity to learn directly from industry professionals through a series of weekly after-school sessions held at MRM’s offices.

Throughout the programme, students will hear directly from professionals working across financial services, gain insight into different career pathways, industry experiences and the skills required within the sector. Following the six-week course, students will also have the opportunity to apply and interview for a paid two-week summer internship with the company.

Jenny Crossland, Director at MRM, spoke about the partnership and the importance of widening access to opportunities. She shared:

“We believe that while talent is evenly distributed, opportunity is not. Many young people do not get the chance to see what careers in financial services actually look like, and traditional work experience opportunities often favour those who already have connections or experience.

“Through this partnership, we want students to gain real insight into the industry and the wide range of careers within it.”

Commenting on the start of this year’s programme, Ms Murphy, Pastoral Manager at Westminster City School, said:

“It has already been wonderful to see students’ confidence begin to grow from the very first session. We look forward to seeing how they continue to develop throughout the programme.

Thank you to MRM for offering such a valuable opportunity for our students.”

At Westminster City School, the wide range of opportunities that are accessible for our students in the heart of London shows our commitment to providing students with meaningful experiences and equipping them to have a clearer understanding of future career pathways.
