Former Sixth Form Student Returns to Share Work Experience Advice
On Thursday 4 December, Westminster City School welcomed back former Sixth Form student Hermela, who spoke to current Sixth Form students about making the most of their work experience opportunities.
Hermela, who is now in her first year as a Consulting Degree Apprentice at Accenture, shared her own journey through work placements during her time at Westminster City School. She emphasised the importance of recognising and reflecting on the skills gained, and how these experiences can strengthen personal statements and future applications.
Addressing students considering degree apprenticeships after Sixth Form, Hermela encouraged them to fully engage with any placements, highlighting how hands-on experience can provide valuable insights into career paths while developing transferable skills.
