Evelyn Wins Painter-Stainers' Recognition Award

1 May 2025

Westminster City School's Art Department were once again honoured to attend the annual Prizegiving Ceremony at Worshipful Company of Painter-Stainers. Each year, we are invited to nominate one student who has demonstrated exceptional skill in painting to take part in this prestigious event, held at the historic Painters’ Hall in London.

Miss Chance, Subject Leader for Art at Westminster City School, said:

"This year, we were proud to put forward Year 12 student Evelyn, whose outstanding work was selected for display. Evelyn's painting was professionally framed and exhibited alongside other winning entries. Attendees, including students and industry professionals were treated to a complimentary lunch and had the opportunity to network within the creative community. Evelyn also had the privilege of meeting Dr David Keates, Master of the Painter-Stainers’ Company."

This occasion was a memorable day celebrating young artistic talent and a well-deserved recognition of Evelyn’s creativity and dedication. Well done and congratulations to Evelyn.

'The Worshipful Company of Painter-Stainers is one of the Livery Companies of the City of London. An organisation of painters of metals and wood, is known to have existed as early as 1283.'
