Inspiring Creative Futures Concert

29 June 2023

The Creative Arts team held the annual Inspiring Creative Futures concert at St Peter's Church, Eaton Square on Wednesday 28 June.

The occasion featured beautiful artwork from talented Art students, as well as performances from Westminster City School's equally talented musicians and singers. The School Choir, Wind Band, Orchestra and School Bands were all on top form with a number of performers who took on solo performances which were all performed with astonishing confidence and professionalism.

The concert featured a variety of music from 'Gonna Fly Now' in Rocky, to a Piano Sonata by Kabalevsky and a few of Michael Jackson's classics. It was a superb evening of entertainment which was evident by the  reponses from the audience.

Year 8 student Sebastian said:

"It was my first school concert since joining the school Choir in the Spring. I thought the selection of music was excellent. I really enjoyed singing 'My Girl' by The Temptations."

Mr Cecile, Subject Leader of Music at Westminster City School commented:

"This concert is no doubt the highlight of our year!

"My thanks go to all our performers for all their hard work preparing for this concert. They should feel really proud! My thanks also to all the staff who played a role in making the concert the success it was and my thanks also to all in the WCS community who attended and for the generous donations made during the evening!"
