Special education

At Westminster City School, we are committed to providing a high quality educational and social experience to all our young people, including our most vulnerable learners.

Our dedicated and highly trained team of learning support assistants are able to deliver outstanding support, both in and outside of the classroom.

There are many factors that can impact on achievement – including ability, emotion, age and maturity – and, for some young people, these factors may be short-term. We aim to identify needs as they arise, providing teaching and learning that enables all our young people to reach their full potential.

At Westminster City School, we believe all students, including those identified as having special educational needs, should have access to a broad and balanced academic and social curriculum.

Our SENDCO is Ms J Lockyer who can be contacted via email at j.lockyer@wcsch.com or on 020 7963 6300.

It is important to understand the four common needs within our school which are all highlighted below.
