Recently, selected students in Year 9 at Westminster City School were able to rise to the challenge as they took part in a 'Dragons' Den style workshop which was organised and facilitated by staff from PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC), an internationally renowned accounting firm.

The workshop consisted of students working together in different teams to develop a business idea and pitch it to PwC staff in a 'Dragon's Den' style format. Students were asked questions about their pitch, including the cost, revenue and their marketing strategy.

Ms Baulcomb, Subject Leader for Geography at Westminster City School said:

"It was refreshing and nice to see our students come out of their comfort zone. I was extremely impressed by their level of creativity and ability to work positively together in a team. They did an excellent job showcasing their skills and represented the school very well to our guests. Thank you to the staff at PwC for inspiring the next generations."

The workshop was an invigorating opportunity for students to gain an insight into careers in the business and entrepreneurship world, whilst developing their confidence, public speaking and presentation skills, teamwork and creativity.
