A huge well done to all 150 students from Years 9-13 who took part in the first round of the UKMT Senior Mathematical Challenge on Thursday 8 October 2026.

The 90-minute challenge consists of 25 multiple choice questions designed to stretch mathematical thinking, test problem-solving skills and encourage students to approach unfamiliar problems with confidence and determination.

We are very proud of every single student who took part and gave their very best throughout the challenge.

Mr Okyere, Teacher of Maths at Westminster City School said:
"The enthusiasm, resilience and genuine passion for mathematics that these students demonstrate is inspiring for everyone; from the younger years to even those in the Sixth Form."
