Sports Day 2025

16 July 2025

This year’s School Sports Day, held at Battersea Park on Tuesday 15 July, was a fantastic display of determination, skill, sportsmanship, and school spirit. Students competed in a wide range of athletic events in pursuit of the desirable Sports Day House Trophy.

Throughout the day, the sense of unity was undeniable as students gave their all in every event, cheered each other on, celebrated both victories and close finishes with grace and good sportsmanship.

Highlights included a nail-biting 300m race, which saw George in 7D take victory at the finish line, the fiercely competitive Year 12 tug-of-war, and an outstanding, record-breaking performance by Jeffrey in 12P in the 100 metres, which brought roars of excitement from the sidelines.

Mr Williams-Parker, Director of Sport at Westminster City School, said:

“A special mention must go to House Palmer, who took home the coveted Sports Day Trophy after a brilliant all-round performance. Well done to all participants for their incredible effort and enthusiasm.

Thank you to all the staff, students, and families who helped make the day such a success. Your support, coordination, and encouragement truly brought the event to life.

We are already looking forward to next year’s Sports Day and to many more moments of teamwork, perseverance, and fun!”
