Hindleap Warren 2019

28 February 2019

Our Year 7 team-building residential trip has taken place at outdoor education centre, Hindleap Warren, in the Ashdown Forest, Sussex.

The trip is an exciting opportunity for our pupils to improve their confidence, encourage team spirit and develop positive relationships with peers and staff. This three day, two nights residential sees pupils live and work together, whilst being challenged through a wide range of activities including abseiling, rope courses and orienteering. Pupils were accompanied by an enthusiastic team of School staff, plus dedicated staff from Hindleap Warren.

Our Headteacher, Mr Peter Broughton, said: "I was very fortunate to visit these Year 7 pupils in Sussex and they were clearly taking every chance to stretch themselves across a range of outdoor, and some indoor, challenges. This sort of education cannot always be quantified in terms of results but is so vital in shaping those in our care.

"Taking these young men outside of their comfort zone clearly has real value and my thanks to all those staff who accompanied pupils for these three days and to our staff who remained in London and did a brilliant job in covering for their colleagues."
