Westminster City School’s Online Masterclasses for primary school children are underway, with fantastic feedback from parents/carers and wonderful work by pupils.
Running throughout October, our free, age-appropriate masterclasses have seen young people in Years 4, 5 and 6 sign up, enjoying Saturday sessions in Spanish, science and maths. Our final two masterclasses take place on Saturday 16 October, with Spanish at 10am and music at 4pm.
Ms McConville, who ran our first masterclass this month, said: “All who joined my Spanish masterclass were really keen and enthusiastic. I’m happy to share some of my favourite pieces of work that were produced by pupils.
“The work, above, is of a tiger by Ishan, currently in Year 5 at Charles Dickens Primary School. Below, we have a piece of work featuring a rabbit by Anais, currently in Year 5 at Ivydale Primary School. We also have an axolotl by Richard, currently in Year 6 at St Francis Roman Catholic Primary School.”
Westminster City School first began offering online masterclasses to primary school children across London back in February, then again in May. Feedback from parent/carers continues to be positive, with all who respond to our survey saying our masterclasses are excellent or good, and that they would recommend them to a family member or friend.
To join our final masterclasses, which will see pupils learn useful Spanish phrases from our Head of Modern Foreign Languages or work with our Head of Music to produce a full-length song from scratch, please visit our website.
