Musicians from Westminster City School performed as part of the prestigious Recital at The Guard’s Chapel last week.
Taking place every Wednesday, last week’s recital saw Edward in Year 8 and David in Year 12 join students from just two other London schools, enjoying a valuable performance opportunity and entertaining visitors to the chapel at nearby Wellington Barracks.
First to take to the stage was Edward, playing Allegro. Violin Concerto in G major RV 310 by Vivaldi on his violin. After performances by two others, David then played Chopin’s Fantasia Impromptu Op66 on the piano.
Located just a ten-minute walk from our School, the Guard’s Chapel is the spiritual home of the Household Division in their ceremonial and combat roles. As the only royal military chapel in London, it also serves all troops within the London district who are not part of the Household Division. It is open to members of the public from Monday to Friday.
