This week’s Westminster City School Wellbeing Challenge sees our diverse and inclusive School community celebrating different cultures, broadening their understanding in a fun way, whilst competing to win prizes.
Following the half-term holiday, our KS3 pupils are being challenged to complete a wellbeing task each day, which asks them to find out more about their own family’s culture, as well as other cultures. Tasks include exploring a city that you’ve never been to before via online radio programmes, reading short stories from another culture and, for our Fun Friday Challenge (open to all at Westminster City School) creating a culinary masterpiece that is typical of your own family’s culture or a culture of your choosing.
Ms Armatage, from our English Department, explains: “With over 100 different nationalities represented across our School community, plus our School site in the centre of one of the world’s most multi-cultural cities, there is plenty for our young people to celebrate and explore during this week’s Westminster City School Wellbeing Challenge.
“We have had some great responses to our previous challenges and I look forward to seeing what pupils record this week in their wellbeing assignment on Microsoft Teams. Remember that our weekly prizes include a £10 Amazon voucher and three distinctions for first place.”
Entries for our Fun Friday Challenge also need to be submitted by 4pm on Friday 26 February. Pupils and students should upload their photo to their Wellbeing Challenge assignment on Microsoft Teams, while staff can email entries to Ms Armatage.
