We’ve been asking pupils for their reflections on life under lockdown. Today we hear from a current Year 8 pupil.
With the UK under lockdown to curb the spread of COVID-19, all Westminster City School pupils, students and staff are staying home to protect themselves and others, using online platforms to keep up with their studies and to keep in contact.
Antonis lives in Kensington. He says:
“Since lockdown began, my best online lesson has been the ICT Code.org homework. It was fun because I enjoy coding, plus it was interesting to see how different lines of code affected the movements of the characters in the dance scene that we were creating.
“What I miss most about being away from Westminster City School is talking to, and seeing, my friends. I also miss my teachers and my outside activities, like rugby.
“Once the lockdown is over, I'm looking forward to going back to school and going back to my usual routine. I am also planning to become even more active in my community and help those less fortunate than me, for example, old neighbours who alone.”
At Westminster City School, we remain determined to continue to provide an excellent educational experience to our pupils and students, while ensuring their health and wellbeing, during this unprecedented time.
