Our School Choir had another busy week, this time singing Christmas carols at a luxury hotel to raise funds for charity.

After last week’s Inspiring Musical Future concert and in advance of next Thursday’s Westminster City School Xmas Factor concert, you might think our Choir would have been taking it easy! Yet this was not the case, as they took up an invitation to carol sing at a private Christmas party for the luxurious St James Court, A Taj Hotel in London.

Mr Cecile, from our Music Department, explains: “This prestigious event is just one of a number of carol singing opportunities that our School Choir takes on every year to raise money for our School charities. I would like to thank our Choir performers for their professional and dedicated attitude in what has been a very busy few weeks for all in our Music Department.”

Alongside continual praise for their performances, our Choir has received further good news. In last week’s bulletin, we talked about six pupils who are set to perform in the English National Opera’s production of Carmen. We can now also confirm that another Westminster City School Choir member, Melchior, has also been selected to perform too!

Watch this space for further details of what is sure to be a fantastic production, featuring this magnificent seven from Westminster City School, next spring! And remember that you can see our Choir in action at 5pm, Thursday 12 December, at our Westminster City School Xmas Factor concert at our School.
