An arresting performance
Westminster City School Choir have performed at New Scotland Yard, helping to launch the Met Police’s annual Christmas charity.
Hosted by Police Commissioner Cressida Dick, this public event saw the Commissioner introduce this year’s Met Police Christmas tree project. This is her personal charitable project, which aims to provide Christmas gifts for children in care, disadvantaged families, refuges or hospitals all across London.
Our Choir were invited to sing Christmas carols just outside New Scotland Yard police station. The event was then closed by the Commissioner illuminating the Met Police’s Christmas tree.
Music teacher, Mr Cecide, said: “As well as being a great opportunity to showcase their talents, our Choir members also got to meet the Commissioner and have refreshments inside New Scotland Yard. This annual event remains a firm favourite amongst our brilliant and very capable Choir!”
