Members of Westminster City School’s Choir will sing at one of London’s most recognisable and most famous buildings next week.
As part of the Inner Voices Choir, three Westminster City School students will perform Evensong at St Paul’s Cathedral on Monday 10 January. For David, Kyrese and Cyril, this will be the first of many events with Inner Voices Choir, and with our School Choir, that they will enjoy in 2022.
Mr Cecile, Head of Music, explains: "Inner Voices is a professional youth choir made up of young people from inner city schools and we are so proud of our students, who have represented our School in prestigious performances and venues over the past two years of our partnership. We aim to have more of our talented singers joining Inner Voices Choir in the coming weeks and months, as well as recruiting more young people into our own School Choir.”
Westminster City School’s popular and successful Choir undertakes regular performances in School (pictured, above, at our Celebration of Achievement Evening in July 2021) and at locations beyond Palace Street. Students interested in joining our School Choir should speak to Mr Cecile to find out more.
Inner Voices Choir, set up in 2011, brings together great singers from London state schools with choral direction from the private sector. Since its launch, Inner Voices has sung across the city as well as abroad, and has featured on Radio 4, Radio 3 and Classic FM.
