Regent's Park running

5 October 2021

Westminster City School took home two medals – for first and for third place – in the Westminster Schools Cross Country Championships, with all members of our two teams completing their race.

Taking place last Friday, at Regent’s Park, our School put forward two teams, made up of 14 students in total. Our Year 9 team completed the Key Stage 3 course of 3km, while our team of students from Years 10 and 11 completed the Key Stage 4 course of 4km.

Our two teams were accompanied by Mr Huxley, Director of Sport, who said: “The cool, blustery, rainy day ensured perfect conditions for running while the course, although flat, was all on grass and muddy in places.

“All our students finished their runs, which is a fantastic achievement, However the stand out performances of the day must go to Tobias, in Year 9, who won the Key Stage 3 race, and Surafiel, in Year 10, who finished third in the Key Stage 4 race.”

Well done to the following students who represented Westminster City School in our Key Stage 3 team: Tobias, David, Malekio, Ayo, Ethan, John, Sam and Galois.

And well done to the following students who represented Westminster City School in our Key Stage 4 team: Will, Noh, Surafiel, Theo and Tyler.
