Old Boy v Old Boy

11 March 2021

Westminster City School alumni were on opposing teams last month, when Norwich City Under-18s faced Crystal Palace Under-18s at their academy training ground in Beckenham.

An exciting match was made more so for Westminster City School with two former pupils on the pitch. Norwich City midfielder, Osman, studied at our School from 2016-19 and Crystal Palace forward, Jesurun, was a pupil from 2014-19.

Although Jesurun scored for Crystal Palace before the half-time whistle, it was not enough for the league leaders to win the match. The eventual score was 5-3 to the Canaries.

Mr Huxley, Director of Sport at Westminster City School, said: “We always love to hear what our Old Boys are up to but to see two playing in opposite teams is quite something. While at Westminster City School, both showed incredible talent and dedication to football and I am thrilled to see this continuing. Well done to both Osman and Jesurun for their performance for their respective teams.

“Sport remains an important part of life at Westminster City School and we are really proud to have currently have pupils playing for Fulham, Crystal Palace and West Ham.”
