Play it again, Ediden!
A former Westminster City School pupil is returning to Palace St, to teach the next generation of Old Boys how to play the piano.
Ediden joined Westminster City School in 2014 and is now studying business at college. He has now started to return to his old school, in his free time, to help our current pupils learn the piano.
Following his first piano lesson with Ediden, current Year 8 pupil, Zaiden, said: “It was inspirational, I really learnt a lot and I am very grateful to Ediden for giving up his spare time to teach me. If I had to rate Ediden’s teaching out of ten, with ten being amazing, I would give him a score of eleven!”
The piano is just one instrument that our pupils can learn at Westminster City School, as we also offer instrumental lessons in brass, strings and woodwind, plus guitar and drums.
While many Westminster City School instrumental lessons continued remotely during lockdown, our Michaelmas term has seen lessons take place in real-life once again. Pupils and teachers, like Ediden, are making good use of our Music Department’s rehearsal rooms, which are regularly cleaned and a suitable size for safe social distancing.
