Political promise

2 October 2020

What is it like working in the Houses of Parliament? How do you start a career in politics? What qualifications do you need to be an MP?

Young people at Westminster City School will be able to get answers to these questions, and more, from two inspirational speakers at our first online careers event next Wednesday.

Our WCS Insights: Political Promise webinar takes place at 5pm on Wednesday 7 October. Speakers include Westminster City School Old Boy Wes Streeting, the Labour MP for Ilford North since 2015, and Sir Peter Bottomley, a Conservative MP since 1975 and Father of the House of Commons. Both will talk about their careers and experience of working as an MP, as well as answering questions from the online audience

Aimed at Years 11, 12 and 13, this webinar should fascinate those thinking of a future career in politics or anyone with an interest in what really happens inside the Houses of Parliament.
