Westminster City School is delighted to release a new video from A Level Results Day 2020, featuring students reflecting on their time at our School.
Our short Westminster City School – thank you video highlights the hard work undertaken by our sixth formers, plus the support and guidance given by our School in helping them achieve their goals. A Level Results Day 2020 saw almost 10% of our sixth formers receive an A* and 31% be awarded A* or A. All of our Year 13 applied to start university this autumn, with three students now set to join Cambridge or Oxford and a third of our cohort heading to prestigious Russell Group universities. (Our photo, above, shows students with offers from Imperial College London and UCL).
As we end our first full week of Michaelmas term 2020, we now have over 800 pupils and students registered at Palace Street. Our academic year began with training for our young people in the new procedures designed to keep our community safe, which include year group ‘bubbles’, one-way systems and hand sanitisation stations around our School.
Headteacher, Mr Broughton, said: “I'd like to thank all staff, pupils and sixth formers for their hard work and responsible behaviour as we continue to settle into our Michaelmas term. The smooth ending of our first full week is a welcome moment to reflect on recent good news at our School and this video is a fantastic reminder of A Level Results Day 2020, which saw a string of excellent outcomes for our Sixth Form.”
