A passion for psychology
Daisy has an offer to read BSc Psychology at King’s College London. She is currently studying A Levels in Government, History and Psychology within our Sixth Form.
“I studied GCSE Psychology at my old secondary school and found it a deeply interesting subject. It is now my favourite A Level at Westminster City School’s Sixth Form and I am really looking forward to studying it even further, as an undergraduate student.
“I first visited Westminster City School for an open day, where I was very impressed with the Sixth Form facilities and the staff, and with the A Level results that recent sixth formers had achieved. I have really enjoyed my time here and I feel lucky to have had Ms James as my psychology teacher. She has given me some excellent advice about different psychology courses at university.
“I applied to institutions like Royal Holloway, King’s College London and University College London because they are in London and I am plan to continue living at home, in order to save money. I am really excited to be starting my psychology degree at King’s in the autumn.”
A Russell Group university, King’s is consistently ranked amongst the top institutions in the world by all major global university rankings compilers. To name just some of the notable alumni and staff would include 12 Nobel laureates, heads of states, almost 20 members of the current House of Commons and over 15 members of the current House of Lords, and the recipients of three Oscars, three Grammys and an Emmy.
Over 90% of our current Year 13 have applied to start university in September 2020, receiving offers across a range of courses and institutions, both in and out of London. We are exceptionally proud of our young people and, over the coming weeks, will feature many of our sixth formers talking about their exciting journey towards university.
