Life under lockdown

27 April 2020

We’ve been asking our young people for their reflections on life under lockdown. Today we hear from a current Year 7 pupil.

With the UK under lockdown to curb the spread of COVID-19, all Westminster City School pupils, students and staff are staying home to protect themselves and others, using online platforms to keep up with their studies and to keep in contact. Samin lives in central London and says:

“History has been my favourite remote learning lesson, so far. I am really enjoying learning  about London in much greater depth!

“What I miss most about being away from Westminster City School is our Library, as it is the place where I usually hang out with all my friends.

“Once lockdown is over, I am really looking forward to all the sporting events that have been postponed until next year, like the UEFA European Football Championships and the Olympic Games. I am also looking forward to seeing my form group, and all my friends, at Westminster City School again.”

At Westminster City School, we remain determined to continue to provide an excellent educational experience to our pupils and students, while ensuring their health and wellbeing, during this unprecedented time.
