Accounting for Ali
Ali has an offer to read BSc Accounting and Finance (with Professional Placement) within Cass Business School at City, University of London. He is currently studying A Levels in Economics, Mathematics and Physics within our Sixth Form.
“I decided to apply for courses in accounting and finance after undertaking work experience at an accounting firm in Essex. This gave me a good insight and understanding of accounting as a future career, so I knew that it was a job that I would enjoy.
“I joined Westminster City School in Year 12, after receiving positive recommendations about the Sixth Form from my family. During my time here, I’ve talked to different teachers about my higher education plans and received helpful advice. My economics teacher was particularly helpful and encouraged me to closely check the university courses that I applied for, to ensure they offered the correct qualifications to suit my career ambitions.
“I decided to apply for a university degree that includes a placement opportunity, as I know it will give me a further work experience that will prove attractive to future employers. My parents are happy that I want to stay in London for my university studies and, in less than two years at Westminster City School, I’ve made some good friends that I plan to keep in touch with.”
City, University of London is organised into five schools, with the Cass Business School consistently ranked amongst the best business schools and programmes in the world.
