Westminster at the Barbican
Twelve Westminster City School pupils will be performing an expressive choral work at The Barbican Centre later this month.
Since the start of January, our pupils have been rehearsing weekly for a mass choir performance of Maurice Duruflé's Gregorian chant-inspired Requiem on Tuesday 17 March. Taking place during Beethoven’s 250th anniversary year, this concert will also include the German composer’s lesser-performed Mass in C.
Rehearsals have been taken place at Westminster School, involving over 250 pupils from ten institutions singing with the Tri-borough Music Hub and Pimlico Music Foundation. By involving local schools, the music hub, a charitable foundation and The Westminster Choral Society, this evening will be a true celebration of music-making within the Borough of Westminster.
Starting at 7pm on Tuesday 17 March, tickets can be purchased online, by telephone or in person. For more information, please visit: www.barbican.org.uk.
