A Christmas Carol...or two

10 December 2021

Westminster City School’s Choir made a joyful return to carol singing this month, raising money for worthwhile causes as they performed at nearby Nova Food.

Each year, our popular and successful School Choir is in great demand for carol singing and has previously performed at Victoria Station, at a luxury hotel and for the Metropolitan Police. However, lockdown restrictions in 2020 meant their usual performance opportunities were cancelled, so their singing this month was even more special.

Mr Cecile, Head of Music, said: “It's so fantastic that our School Choir is able to undertake carol singing once again. Our students love to take part in carol singing, seeing first hand the joy that performing these much loved songs can bring.

“I would like to thank our School Choir performers for their professional and dedicated attitude in what has been a very busy few weeks for all in our Music Department.”

Performing at Nova Food this month, our School Choir performed many of the usual Christmas favourites like Feliz Navidad, We Three Kings and Silent Night, to name a few. Donations by the public will be divided between our School Choir Fund and local charity, The Passage, which supports homeless people in London.
