Looking for fun and informative activities to inspire younger children at the weekend? Then join Westminster City School’s Online Masterclasses for Years 5 and 6!
Our exciting programme offers age-appropriate one-hour Zoom masterclasses with Westminster City School teachers from subjects including maths, music, geography and science. Running on Saturdays, these age-appropriate masterclasses should inspire and entertain primary school pupils.
Starting on Saturday 6 March, our music composition masterclass will see children work to produce a full-length song from scratch, using their own creative ideas. The final product will have as many contributions as possible from the children taking part, with the final track distributed as an audio file to parent/carers via email, meaning all the children have something to take away from the session and be proud of!
Our geography masterclass will see children act as detectives, aiming to solve a geographical mystery about a topic that impacts everyone, and our climate, all over the world....
Our maths masterclass will focus on recapping KS2 knowledge by looking at number topics such as integers, fractions and percentages, as well as challenging children to stretch themselves and learn some KS3 maths too!
And our science masterclasses will inspire children with some online experiments in chemistry and physics, as well as an understanding of the importance of enzymes
