9 February 2024

Congratulations to Year 12 student Jamoi, who has been accepted to join the prestigious Amos Bursary Programme.

The Amos Bursary ensures that talented young people of African and Caribbean descent have the opportunity to excel in education and beyond.

Describing what it means to be accepted as a scholar on The Amos Bursary programme, Jamoi commented saying:

"It's an immense honour to be part of a community dedicated to fostering educational excellence and personal growth.

"The journey ahead promises exciting challenges and opportunities for learning. I am deeply grateful for the support from family, friends, and mentors who have played a pivotal role in this achievement.

"This scholarship signifies more than just financial assistance; it represents a commitment to making a positive impact on the world. As I embark on this transformative chapter, I am eager to contribute, collaborate, and absorb all the knowledge and experiences that come my way.

"As a young Caribbean female in Year 12, my interest in applying for The Amos Bursary stems from its commitment to providing invaluable professional support. The prospect of mentorship and guidance offered by the program resonates with my aspirations for academic and personal development. Being aware of the unique challenges faced by individuals of Caribbean heritage, the bursary's focus on fostering a supportive community is particularly appealing.

"The opportunity to connect with seasoned professionals within the Amos Bursary network aligns perfectly with my goals, offering a tailored approach to navigating the complexities of my educational and professional journey.

"I Want to thank Westminster City School for sharing this opportunity with me!"
