Wes Streeting's life after WCS
Recently, Westminster City School alumni Wes Streeting who is Shadow Health Secretary and Labour MP for Ilford North was featured on BBC Radio 4 Sounds as an influential figure.
The episode gave an insight into Wes Streeting's life and career, including his days at Westminster City School. It was particular inspirational to hear of the challenges and obstacles he fought against which is a great reminder of the importance of providing our students with an environment where they can thrive and excel.
Wes commented saying:
"My heart almost burst with happiness to hear the voice of my old primary school head teacher on BBC Radio 4's profile.
"I haven't heard her voice for almost 30 years, but I can honestly say I wouldn't be where I am today were it not for her."
