The Rank Foundation Leadership Award

18 May 2023

Congratulations to Year 11 student at Westminster City School Nathanael B on being offered a Rank Foundation Leadership Award. This is a direct result of the support of the Headteacher at Westminster City School, Mr Broughton, who recommended Nathanael on the basis of his outstanding leadership potential.

Nathanael has received an award from the Committee at The Rank Foundation to assist with his tuition fees while he is at university for three years. This grant will be made directly to the university for the sole purpose of tuition fees.

When asked how he feels about receiving this award, Nathanael said:

"It brings me great joy to have been recognised by the Headteacher, Mr Broughton as someone with leadership potential. This means a lot to me and will stay with me now and throughout the years to come, it is an incredible source of motivation.

"This is one of the many reasons why I will be continuing my education at Westminster City School's Sixth Form; there is simply nowhere better for me to study my A Levels. The teachers and staff care about those in their care, it is a community school with an excellent support system."

After completing his GCSEs, Nathanael's next step is to study A Level Maths, Further Maths, Economics and Computer Science at Westminster City School's Sixth Form. He is passionate about numbers and is looking forward to pursuing a career in the Finance industry.
