Harry, West Ham and England

24 June 2021

With UEFA Euro 2020 underway, we’re highlighting some of our own Westminster City School football stars. This week it is Harry, who trains with West Ham United’s junior team.

Year 7 pupil, Harry, had been playing for Millwall FC since Year 1, before joining West Ham’s junior team around a month ago. He now trains with West Ham for two hours on a Thursday evening and takes part in matches on a Sunday. Harry also trains with Prostar Youth Football Club for 90 minutes on a Saturday evening.

Harry said: “I do have to sprint home from school on Thursday to get ready for my training with West Ham, then my mum drops me off at the sports ground. However, as a West Ham supporter, I’m really happy to be training with West Ham!”

West Ham United competes in the Premier League, the top tier of English football, and the club plays at the London Stadium, formerly known as Olympic Stadium. One of Harry’s favourite players is Michail Antonio, who joined West Ham in 2015.

When asked who will win UEFA Euro 2020, Harry predicted England.
