Back to school safely
Westminster City School’s re-opening continues, with Years 7, 8 and 9 now back at Palace Street.
As pupils across the UK return to classrooms following the months of lockdown, young people at Westminster City School are returning in a staggered process by year group. By Thursday of this week, all Westminster City School pupils and students will be back on site.
Our staggered return to Palace Street ensures our young people can receive thorough training on the new procedures in place to keep our community safe - such as year group ‘bubbles’, hand sanitisation stations and one-way systems around our School - whilst settling back into school life.
Mr Broughton, Headteacher, said: “After the upheaval of lockdown, followed by celebrations this summer with our record-breaking GCSE and outstanding A Level results, it is fantastic to have our young people back at Palace Street. I have high expectations for the coming academic year and I look forward to witnessing the journey that our young people will continue to take, with the support and guidance of our Westminster City School community.”
With a record number of young people joining our Sixth Form this autumn, it means there are now more than 800 pupils and students registered at Westminster City School for the 2020-21 academic year.
