Life beyond school

We aim to prepare our pupils for the world beyond school. Pupils study citizenship and Personal, Social & Health Education during tutor time and in other subject areas and extra-curricular activities. Pupils consider what it means to be a world citizen in the 21st century and activities such as debates, role-play and campaigns are undertaken in a bid to raise awareness of the demands of the world around them.

Representatives from external agencies such as the police, careers service, churches, businesses and health service, regularly visit the school and contribute to the programme of activities.

We aim to ensure all our pupils make informed decisions based upon up to date advice about careers in a rapidly evolving, global economy enabling them to progress into employment, further training or higher education.
