School Journeys
Westminster City is proud of its tradition of offering students
a full programme of educational trips that enrich and support the
curriculum. Trips range from local visits to places further afield
of historical, geographical, literary, religious or scientific interest.
There is an exchange visit to Japan as well as field trips in this
country and abroad.
Charging and Remissions Policy:
The
Governors’ policy on charging for school activities includes
the practice of inviting voluntary contributions from parents for
activities that take place in school hours or for essential equipment
or materials used, within the provision of the Education Reform Act
1988. No student will be excluded from any activity or trip on the
basis of cost, however, at the discretion of the Headteacher, proposed
activities may be curtailed or cancelled, if insufficient voluntary
contributions have been collected. In this event, those parents who
have made a contribution, will be reimbursed.
Parents in need of financial assistance, should contact the Headteacher
in the first instance.
Copies of the detailed Governors’ Statement of Policy on
Charges for School Activities are available from the school office
and on the school website. |
