Welcome from the Headteacher
I am delighted to welcome you to Westminster City School. I know that choosing a secondary school for your child is an important decision and am confident that our strong moral and spiritual framework and commitment to educate boys to the highest standards will ensure that your son develops and prospers during his years at our school. Westminster City provides an environment based on a Christian ethos and a commitment to our students. This is a school within which high standards of attainment and behaviour are the norm, each individual matters and everyone has something special to contribute. Each boy has the opportunity to develop his particular abilities and talents to the full, gaining the confidence to succeed, to develop into a well-rounded adult equipped for life in the 21st century. Our school offers a broad curriculum, encourages independent learning and provides a rich extra-curricular programme. We, the Governors and staff, understand that education is a partnership and are committed to involving parents in the life and work of our school. This partnership is important, for education extends beyond the school and into the lives of the boys. Our partnership also helps to ensure that our expectations of high standards of work, behaviour and appearance are realised. Together we provide the framework that enables our boys to excel. This prospectus will give you an insight into what you can expect, but of course the true quality of our school can only be judged by making a visit.
