Ofsted Inspection Report
The school has now received its finalised
Ofsted report following the inspection that took place on 11and
12 January 2007.
The
report recognises the achievements the school has made in the
last two years. One comment that I believe is particularly encouraging
for everyone involved with the school is the inspectors’ agreement
with the priorities for the future that we have set out in our
School Improvement Plan and their judgement that the school has
the capacity to continue to improve. This is praise
ind
eed given our successful exams results in
the summer of 2006, achieving 61% 5A*-C. It was also extremely
rewarding to read the inspectors’ comments regarding the
students’ interpersonal skills and the very positive relationship
they have with their teachers.
I believe there is much to celebrate
in the report and the staff and students in the school should be
congratulated for their contribution to the success of Westminster City.
