Generous support from our Old Boys

22 September 2011

The Old Westminster Citizens’ Association (OWCA) continues to generously support various school projects. The trust fund subsidised the Year 9 geography trip to Iceland with over £5,000. The trip was also heavily subsidised by the Hammond Trust and we are very grateful to Roy Blackwell from the Foundation Office for his support with this. We are delighted that the trust also pledged £20,000 for the purchase of the fantastic multi gym we have installed. The gym has already seen much use and further helps expand the games and PE options we are able to offer. Last year a state of the art CAD/CAM facility was purchased for the DT department at a cost of over £15,000. The OWCA also purchased two pottery wheels for the art department. The OWCA supports many ongoing projects such as contributing towards peripatetic music tuition, film projects and the cadets. Students and staff are very grateful for their support and generosity. Anyone interested in joining the OWCA or learning more about it should visit their website at www.owca.org.uk
