Extra-curricular Activities

We offer a wide range of extra-curricular activities in which we encourage all students to participate. Westminster City School has a strong sporting tradition and fields many school teams, particularly in football, rugby, cricket and basketball. Matches are played regularly after school and on Saturday mornings.

The Music Department offers a wide range of instrumental lessons and is popular with students. Drama is a successful and flourishing part of the school life and through the year students perform in productions within the school and on the London stage.

There are lunchtime clubs offering homework, art, chess, computer, environmental education and a debating society. We have a link with cadet forces and a number of boys have taken part in camps and outdoor activities, as well as the Duke of Edinburgh Award scheme.

Each year educational visits are arranged in this country and abroad and we have developing links with schools in other countries, including our exchange programme with Japan.
