Internal candidates

Internal students will be given priority for places in Year 12. Any remaining places will then be open to external candidates.

All candidates will have a discussion about appropriate subject choice with a member of the school’s senior staff. That discussion will take into consideration:
1. Predicted/achieved GCSE grades.
2. An assessment from the teaching staff that the candidate is likely to meet successfully the requirements of the course(s) for which application has been made.

Offers of a place in Year 12 will also be dependent upon:
The availability of places on the chosen courses (or combination of courses).
The candidate meeting the application and enrolment procedures by the published deadline.

Where the number of eligible candidates exceeds the number of places available, the following criteria will be considered:
Demonstrable contribution the candidate can make to the life of the school.
