The school is offering 140 places within the full range of abilities in September 2017. 60% Christian places, 20% other world faith places and 20% open places.
The school has available a total of 112 Christian & other world faith places in September 2017. In addition to completing your local authority common application form, applicants must also obtain the school’s supplementary application form and faith reference form which should both be completed and returned to the school. The deadline for submission of the supplementary form is Monday 31 October 2016 and the deadline for submission of the faith reference form is Saturday 26 November 2016. Applicants should tick the relevant box stating which category of place they are applying for i.e Christian, other world faith or open.
The school has available 28 open places in September 2017. Applicants must complete the school’s supplementary application form and tick the open place box. Governors will allocate places to boys of no faith who are willing to support the clear religious, social and ethical ethos of the school.
All applicants must attend the assessment day which will take place at 9.30am on Saturday 26 November 2016 at Westminster City School. You should expect your son to be here for approximately one hour and he should bring with him a pencil, rubber and ruler. All applicants will be given a short science, English and maths test.
If, as is customary, there are more applications than places, the admissions criteria explained in the admissions policy will determine which boys are to be offered places. The same procedures will be applied when there are applicants for casual vacancies that arise in Years 8 to 11.
Applications received after the published closing date will not be considered until after the initial allocation of places has taken place. They can then be considered for any surplus places that may be available, or if appropriate placed on the waiting list.
